Well that is all well and fine, but we have a good guy making them better than Dave ever did that will not rip you off in a heart beat. PMS in Germany - Nadir is a great guy, does beautiful work and is not a piece of poopy. I had Nadir reface and replate my original Guardala and it came back looking like new and played better than it ever did - Dave never actually finished it....

Whatever. Only one fact interests me. Dave Guardala made the best mouthpieces the working sax player will ever know. They remain among the highest-valued of all mouthpieces with the value of the hand-finished originals constantly rising. If he were to start making them again under a different name, and it became known who was making them, he would sell all he could make for at least $750 each. If he only advertised to accept mouthpieces for refacing/modifying, he could charge more than anyone previously has for such services. And I hope he does get back into it.

Mr. Marx

Sorry I don't know who you are but since 11 of the 12 counts were dropped in return for a guilty plea on count 1 (the cameras) you may not be considered legally a victim any more. I could be wrong as I never have seen the disgraceful plea bargain and its contents

It is most important that you and all the other victims move on. Dave's brother won't
I have a Guardala Tenor sax that I bought 20 years ago from my instructor, Glenn Cashman. At the time he was teaching at Towson University in Baltimore. I put it down about 14 years ago and just last month picked it up again. I've lost my lip but my god, what a work of art! It is the Black Nickle finish with silver keys. Some new cork on the neck and I'm good to go!

It breaks my heart to hear so much has gone wrong for such an amazing talent, but that is a sad story repeated over and over again.

I hope one day you get some retribution, like maybe instead of money, the REAL Dave Guardala makes a personalized sax just for you, a one-of-a-kind. Not likely, but makes for a nice daydream!
